Personal Assistant & Social Enabler

For an autistic adult

What the Role Involves

Driving appointments and outings in a manual car, and helping with public transport like trains and buses

Suggesting local activities or hobbies, and offering gentle support during social situations

Being a calm, reassuring presence when anxiety, panic attacks or distress arise

Assisting with physical symptoms such as fainting spells

Keeping the environment smoke-free and wearing an FFP3 mask when needed (we’ll provide it)

Promoting queer and trans-affirmative spaces and attitudes

What We're Looking For

A full UK driving licence and confidence in a manual vehicle

Experience supporting autistic people, or a solid understanding of autism

Clear, calm communication and strong empathy

Physical ability to assist if someone feels faint or unwell

A flexible approach to changing plans and hours

Comfort working in LGBTQ-friendly settings

It Would also be Ideal if You Also Have

Experience or insight into Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria and coping strategies

Awareness of sensory processing differences

Experience supporting people through anxiety or panic attacks
